Despite the terrain is quite flat, when chasing the Lord Derby or the Western Buffalo you will be walking lots of miles under the sun (10-15 km/day or 7-10 miles/day). Besides of this, the sun is also an important factor as the temperature reaches 30ºC at mid day or even over pass in mid or late season.

The whole season is good to go after any animal. In early season, the temperature is lower. In late season, the animals are less active and do not move as much as earlier. However, the Lord Derby rut is absolutely off and finding the black manes could be some more difficult.

The camp offers a comfortable stay with nice views over the river (crocodiles, hippos and lots of birds inhabits there) including Wi-Fi, so we are very confident that you will enjoy it very much. The cooking can be organized according to our guest desires and there are a few other activities beyond hunting that can be attractive to any non-hunter guest. However, the more he/she enjoys the nature, the better. By our experience, spending 12 full days at the camp is not very funny, so we hardly recommend going out and enjoying the Cameroonian wildlife and African way of living and hunting.

Not around the hunting area, but in Douala. Douala is bordering the ocean and it represents one of the most important ports in Africa. This is why is said that Douala is the financial capital of Cameroon, while Yaoundé is just the political one. In there, you can visit the fish markets, the port and so. Yaoundé is not that interesting but you could go to the artisans market where buying any souvenir.
