ANY QUESTIONS? PERHAPS THIS SECTION WILL HELP YOU
Please, find listed below some of the most frequent questions that we receive when organizing a hunting trip into Spain. Hopefully, they will help when you start planning your trip.

All the species have their own hunting season and not all of them coincide in time. Nevertheless, from mid October to late December is when most of the seasons are open. Anyhow, when requesting for your ideal trip, we will speak and agree the best periods.

It depends on the season and the location. Spain is a small country but there can be big differences depending on the period, if hunting next to the coast or inland, or if your hunt is located on the North or on the South. Nevertheless, to give you an idea, the temperature in fall season can go from 0ºC to 15ºC (32ºF to 60ºF), and in Spring season is between 10ºC and 20ºC (50ºF to 70ºF).

We are quite flexible in terms of the preparation of the trophies. If the hunter wants his trophies to be mounted by his own taxidermist, we provide excellent dip & packing service. However, we work with world class taxidermist in Spain, offering great artistic mounts in a very affordable prices. This way the hunter will save the dip & pack cost.

Normally four to six months for dip & pack, and seven to nine months for mounting. After your hunt, your trophy will be delivered to the taxidermist who will work on a dip & pack (skull cleaning and skin salting) or will work on the mount. It can take from 1 to 4 months depending on the work. Afterwards, the trophy will be delivered to a trophy exporter specialist; in this case we are used to work together with Wigisa. They will be in charge of applying to for the export permits and getting in contact with your customs agent who will manage the import into your country. However, regular courier will be used for in-UE shipments, so the process may be shorten a while.

If you are from a UE-member country, you shouldn’t have any problem as it is considered to not be any border. If you are from a non UE-member country, we need to apply for both export and import permits so, in other words, you cannot bring it with you.

Absolutely, yes. It is an easy procedure that needs to fulfill with some formalities. Please, click here to see the requirements.

The calibre but specially the tip and grains always depend on the trophy that you are looking for. Soft points are very important. When going on a mountain hunt, any flat and long-range calibre is good (7mm, 257 Weath., 270WM, 300WM…). At the end of the day, shooting is based on confidence, and each hunter has his favorite gun… In a driven hunt, we are not used to fast calibres, but we prefer to use those with lots of energy and big impact, as the animals run full of adrenaline and you need to stop them quickly.

A packing list will be sent to you with your booking form. It will provide you a guideline about the kind of gear needed for your trip, however, it is a standard list. Clothing may change depending on the temperatures, so prior to the hunt we will contact you to let you know the forecast and expected weather for the chosen time of the year.

Absolutely not. Spain is a safe country in terms of tropical diseases, and you must bring just your regular prescribed medication is that’s your case.

In our country, all the hospitals will assist a traveller with medical urgencies, even if he doesn’t have any medical insurance, which is not required to get into Spain. However, we always recommend to make a travel insurance, regardless the country of the World that you are visiting. It’s always better to have the best possibilities of assistance. Spain has a great network of hospitals and clinics all over the country, even in rural areas, so in case of any accident, it will be quite easy to arrange evacuation to a medical center.

Our country is one of the safest ones in the world. Our crime rates are far below the average. It’s possible to have a walk and relax at any time of the day or the night in most of the country. However, your guide will be all the time looking after you and making sure that you enjoy the most confortable stay from all points of view.
