I met Roger Hooten thanks to my good friend Ximo Marzà. They had been hunting together in Cameroon and Ximo recommended Roger to call me to help him on his purpose to complete the Spanish Ibex Grand Slam. Because life is not easy and sometimes drives us into dark moments, our adventure had to wait a couple of years, but we finally made it. I clearly remember his kind smile when he crossed into the arrivals hall. At that moment, I knew that everything was going to be good. Roger told me that he knew I was “the man” when I said to him that I was going to do my very best to succeed. He dreamed of this hunt for years and I was decided to be the key to make it true. The rest is about 12 splendid hunting days between friends. We got along very quickly and enjoyed of the companion, the food, the country, sightseeing… and HUNTING, of course!
